Every question is valid. Here's what most people want to know before starting.

Therapy is a deeply personal experience, and it’s natural to have questions before beginning. Below, you’ll find answers to some of the most common things people ask when getting started. If your question isn’t listed, feel free to reach out directly—I’d love to hear from you.

Our first session is all about getting to know you—what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and what’s felt difficult. We’ll talk about what’s going on in your life and begin to explore how we can work together in a way that feels safe and supportive for you.

Most sessions are 50 minutes. Therapy intensives may be longer and structured based on your specific goals.

Yes. All sessions are currently held via secure Telehealth, so you can join from wherever feels most comfortable for you—whether that’s your home, office, or car.

It depends on your needs. Many clients start with weekly sessions, but we can adjust frequency as things evolve. We'll collaborate on a pace that feels manageable and helpful for you.

Yes! I work with all types of relationships—monogamous, polyamorous, ENM, queer, and more. Whether you’re rebuilding trust, improving communication, or deepening intimacy, we’ll work together to support your connection.

Absolutely. My practice is inclusive, affirming, and grounded in respect for all identities and relationship structures. You are welcome and seen here.

That’s totally okay. Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, and it’s normal to have questions. I’ll guide you through the process and create a space where you can show up as you are—no experience required.

I’m an out-of-network provider, which means I don’t bill insurance directly. However, I can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

Yes, I have a limited number of sliding scale spots for clients experiencing financial hardship. Feel free to bring this up during your free consultation.

I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. If you cancel within less than 24 hours or miss a session without notice, the full fee may apply (unless it’s an emergency).

Great question—and an important one. The best way to know is to have a conversation. That’s why I offer a free consultation—to see if we feel like a good fit. You deserve to feel safe and supported with whoever you choose.
